David was one of the kindest men I have met.  Gerald played football with David in 1966.  Gerry met Diane at Fine Fare in the Inshops in Chatham in 1983 when we moved to Chatham from South Africa.  David had such a deep respect and love for Diane.  We could call them at any time and both of them would help us with anything.   He loved his two beautiful daughters very much and was so proud of their achievements.   I regarded him as a brother and we use to banter about computers and he use to take everything on the chin.   I have attached a picture of the lights in our garden which David put up for us with the help of Diane last December.   We did this in the freezing cold, nothing was too much for him.  What a remarkable man and he will be dearly missed by my entire family.   I also attach a picture of one of the few walks we did with David and Diane.
